2024 Patterson Family Foundation Grant

The Hiawatha Community Foundation, in partnership with the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation, is again pleased that the Patterson Family Foundation, for the second year, has graciously awarded a grant for $70,000 to the Hiawatha Community Foundation. These funds are made possible to support rural community needs. These funds will be used as match funds for our 2024 Give Back to Move Forward event May 24 - May 26, 2024.  A portion of these funds will be used to help grow the Hiawatha Community Foundation Grants Fund which will be used to award grants to the local community once we have reached our stated goal of $100,000.

At last year's Give Back to Move Forward match day, 43 nonprofit organizations participated. The event collected $360,305.46 after matching funds were added to the total.
